Cheesy Bratwurst Casserole

Forget about the bun! This Cheesy Bratwurst Casserole gives you a new way to enjoy everyone's favorite cookout sausage. This easy casserole recipe also includes potatoes, green beans, and Cheddar cheese for a full dinner in one dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cup water, divided
  • 6 bratwurst links (about 1 pound), fully cooked, cut into halves
  • 1 can (10 3/4-ounce) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cup frozen cut green beans
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes and 1 cup water in a deep skillet or large saucepan. Cook for 15 minutes or until almost tender. Drain and set aside.
     
  2. In the same pan, brown bratwurst. Add soup, beans, onions, potatoes, and remaining water.
     
  3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Stir in cheese; heat until melted.
