Comfort Steak Casserole

Casseroles have been a family staple for years. Easy to make, almost anything can be done with them, and they all come out the same - delicious. Try our Comfort Steak Casserole for a wonderful easy casserole that will leave the family satisfied. Make it for dinner tonight.

Ingredients

  • 1 round steak, cubed
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 or 4 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 package of wide noodles
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can sliced ripe olives
  • 1 can Mexican corn (or can of corn and 2 tablespoons of chopped pimento)
  • grated cheese to cover top (Cheddar or Parmesan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Brown meat in small amount of oil to cover pan. Saute, celery and onions with meat.
     
  3. Cook noodles as the package instructs.
     
  4. Add olives, corn, mushrooms to meat.
     
  5. Then combine meat mixture to noodles in a 3 quart casserole dish. Top with cheese. Bake fo 45 minutes.
     
  6. Then add tomato soup and 1/2 can water to top and bake 15 minutes longer.
