Ingredients
- 4 cup potatoes, diced and peeled
- 1/4 cup flour
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- pepper, to taste
- 2 cup milk
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Instructions
- Boil the diced potatoes in just enough water to cover until they are not quite cooked. Drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Add garlic and cook gently.
- Mix in flour and cook to form a roux.
- Add milk and cook until thickened. Season with pepper.
- Thoroughly butter a baking dish. Layer sliced potatoes in dish.
- Pour cream sauce over the potatoes. Refrigerate overnight.
- When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Scatter bread crumbs over the top and cover with cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.
