Gobble Gobble Chili

Calling all turkey junkies! This Gobble Gobble Chili is the ultimate turkey chili recipe. Like most homemade chili recipes, this turkey chili will smell amazing as it cooks...and soon you'll be counting down the minutes until you can dig in!

Ingredients

  • 2 pound ground turkey
  • 1 can (about 28 ounces) tomatoes, undrained and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano leaves
  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) chili beans, undrained
  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 can (about 15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the turkey meat.  Drain any fat. 
     
  2. Add meat to slow cooker, along with tomatoes, tomato sace, onion, sugar, salt, chili powder, cumin, and oregano.  Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours to allow flavors to blend.
     
  3. Add chili beans, garbanzo beans, and kidney beans.  Cook on low for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, or until heated through.
