Sweet Chili
If you want to try chili with a little bit of a sweet flavor, try following this easy chili recipe and make sweet chili. With ingredients like cinnamon, brown sugar and cocoa there's a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.

To garnish use sour cream or plain yogurt, shredded cheddar, sliced scallions

Ingredients
- 12.8-oz package frozen veggie burgers or burger crumbles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1 28-oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 1/2-oz. can kidney beans (can be omitted)
- 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 4-oz. can chiles
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon jalapeno, diced (can be omitted)
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Cook burgers according to the package directions. If using patties, break them up as they cook. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, cook onion in 1/2 cup water, stirring, over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add burgers, the rest of the water, and all other remaining ingredients (except garnishes).
- Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low.
- Simmer 10-30 minutes (the longer you cook it, the more intense the flavors).
- Garnish as desired.
