Ingredients
- 1 box German Chocolate cake mix
- 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 12-ounce jar of caramel sauce
- 1 carton (8-ounce) non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
- 6-8 Heath candy bars, crushed
Instructions

Bake cake in 9 by 13-inch cake pan, as directed on box.

Let cake cool slightly and poke little holes in the top of the cake.

Dribble sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over cake.

Let stand for over an hour or until the cake has completely cooled.

Frost cake with whipped topping and sprinkle crushed candy bars on top.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.

So what's the secret ingredient? I make this cake all the time, it's great, but I don't see a secret ingredient listed. Instead of caramel sauce I use Mrs. Richardson's Butterscotch Caramel Topping and I use real whipped cream (whipped very thick) instead of Cool Whip. The candy bars I use are the "Skor" Bars.

I find it very difficult to take any recipe seriously when the first ingredient is a cake mix. This isn't a recipe it is a presentation idea for a packet of chemicals.
