Edible Cookie Dough Recipe

Directions

Important Note from the Chef: "As a kid, I always wanted to dip my spoon in the cookie dough before it went in the oven! We were always told no way because of raw eggs. What I recently found out is that raw flour is actually a source of bacteria. All you have to do is microwave the flour until it reaches 160°F and that will kill off the problematic bacteria. What is 160 degrees you may say? I always microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds on high, stirring after 15 second intervals. Then go on with the recipe and enjoy!"

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, shift together brown sugar, sugar, flour, and cornstarch. Beat in melted butter and vanilla extract until it starts to come together, the dough will resemble coarse crumbs.

  2. Stir in ½ cup mini chocolate chips.

  3. Mix until dough slightly sticks together, but it will still look crumbly.

  4. Add in milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it is easier to work with and you get the consistency you want.

  5. Scoop, using a cookie dough scooper, and pack in the dough. Then remove from the scooper and place on prepared pan.

  6. Place pan in the refrigerator for the bites to chill, approximately 10 minutes.

  7. While the dough is chilling, melt 1 cup remaining chocolate according to package directions. I heat in 30 second intervals, until chocolate is completely melted.

  8. Drizzle with chocolate and throw on sprinkles!
