    Ingredients

    • 4 egg whites
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon anise extract

    Instructions

    Beat egg whites until foamy and gradually add sugar and beat until stiff. Add anise extract and beat until mixed. Drop by spoon onto brown paper bag on a cookie sheet, you can also use a pastry bag and make fancy star shapes. Bake at 400 for 5 min or until just starting to brown. Let cool on the paper bag and then peel off. Makes 3 - 4 dozen depending on size.
