    Molasses Sugar Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 3/4 c shortening (butter)
    • 1 c sugar
    • 1/4 c molasses
    • 1 egg
    • 2 c flour
    • 2 t baking soda
    • 1 t cinnamon
    • 1/2 t cloves
    • 1/2 t ginger
    • 1/2 t salt

    Instructions

    Beat well. Cream together butter and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Sift in flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Mix and chill. Form 1" balls, roll in granulated sugar, place on greased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake at 375 F for 8-10 minutes.
