They also practically make themselves, as they only require a few ingredients (including one of our favorites: cake mix).

Ingredients
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box lemon cake mix
- 2 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the cake mix, whipped topping, egg, and lemon zest. Mix on medium-high speed for 3 minutes, until well combined, pausing once to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl.

Put the confectioners’ sugar in a small bowl. Using a cookie scoop, shape the dough into 1-ich balls. Roll each ball in the sugar and place on baking sheet 5 inches apart.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly brown.

Cool completely on wire rack, for 10 to 15 minutes, before removing from the pans.
