Old World Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 3 cup rolled oats, uncooked
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream together butter, sugars, egg, applesauce, and vanilla until well combined. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoon onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are a light golden brown.

Cool on wire rack for approximately 15 minutes before serving.
