Preacher Cookies Recipe
Directions
-
In a medium sized sauce pan over medium-high heat add butter, sugar, cocoa powder, milk and salt.
-
Stir until butter is melted and ingredients are incorporated. Bring mixture to a rolling boil, and boil for 1 minute and 15 seconds. This part is very important or the cookies will not set up.
-
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until completely melted and vanilla extract. Add the oatmeal and mix well. Add ½ cup sprinkles.
-
Working quickly before the mixture cools and thickens up drop the mixture by tablespoon (I use my small cookie scoop) onto wax paper.
-
Sprinkle with remaining sprinkles.
-
Let cookies cool completely and set up before removing. The key to getting the cookies glossy on top is not touching them after you drop the mixture onto waxed paper.
