Barbecued Spareribs

Ingredients
- 5 pounds spareribs, cut into 2-rib pieces
- 1 cup ketchup
- 3 drops hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place spareribs on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Brown in oven 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side 10 to 15 minutes. Drain fat.
- Place ribs in slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, pepper sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, celery seeds, and onion. Pour mixture over ribs; turn ribs until evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on low about 6 hours or until ribs are tender. Serve hot.

This recipe sounds absolutely the best! I make it similar, except I don't use the celery seeds. Still is good.

I believe I could do this spareribs slow cooker recipe very easily! I would also try it in the oven and know it would be sooooo good!
