Chinese Beef and Pea Pods
Crunchy vegetables combine with fork-tender beef in this delicious slow cooker Asian recipe. Just combine the ingredients in the morning and by dinnertime, you will a delicious Asian-inspired meal ready to go.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound steak, thinly sliced
- 1 can beef consomme soup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger, ground
- 8 green onions
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 small can bamboo shoots, drained
- 1 small can bean sprouts, drained
- 7 ounces frozen Chinese pea pods, partially thawed
Instructions
- Combine steak in slow cooker with consomme, soy sauce, ginger and onion. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours.
- Turn control to high. Dissolve cornstarch in the 2 tablespoons cold water and add to slow cooker. Cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened.
- During last 5 minutes of cooking, add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and pea pods. Serve over hot rice.
