One Pot Chicken and Herbed Dumplings

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken
- salt and pepper to taste
- 10 pearl onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 6 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker. Add onions, garlic, marjoram, thyme, bay leaf and wine. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
- Stir in sour cream. Increase heat to high and combine biscuit mix with parsley. Stir milk into biscuit mix until well moistened. Drop dumplings from teaspoon around edge of pot. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.

completely different from your typical "chicken and dumplings". Onion and garlic are very overpowering, I would suggest using shallots, for a milder onion flavor. Probably wont fix it again.
