Ingredients
- 1 3/4 pound boneless beef round steak
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can condensed beef broth
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon red wine
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
Instructions
Trim all visible fat from steak. Cut steak into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place steak in slow cooker. Add onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt, paprika, broth, ketchup, and wine. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until steak is tender. Turn control to HIGH. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to slow cooker. Stir in mushrooms. Cover and cook 15 to 30 minutes or until bubbly. Stir in sour cream and serve.
