Ingredients
- 3 pounds lean beef stew meat cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 medium onions thinly sliced
- 8 ounces can mushrooms undrained
- 12 ounces can of beer (your choice on brand)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
- Put the beef in the slow cooker.
- Combine all the other ingredients and pour over the beef.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Before serving thicken juices if desired.

This recipe sounds like a keeper (minus the mushrooms for me) but it would be great to try with thickened sauce served over rice....a nice, hot meal on a cold night-can't wait to try!
