Low and Slow Barbecued Beef

Ingredients
- 3 pound boneless chuck roast
- 1 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Place chuck roast in slow cooker.
- Combine ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke flavoring, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in mixing bowl. Stir until everything is combined.
- Pour sauce mixture over chuck roast. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 4 to 5 hours.
- Remove chuck roast from slow cooker and shred meat. Place shredded meat back in slow cooker and stir to evenly coat with sauce.
- Spoon meat onto sandwich buns and top with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.
