Slow Cooked General Tso's Chicken

Slow Cooked General Tso's Chicken is a lazy cook's dream come true. This easy Chinese food-inspired recipe is ready in just a matter of hours, during which, you can leave everything be in the slow cooker to cook while you go about your business. When you come back to check on your meal, your chicken will be perfectly tender and marinated - almost ready to enjoy! All you have to do next is thicken the sauce and shred your chicken and your protein is ready to be eaten. Note that this recipe is slow cooked, and will have a much different texture than the restaurant version, which is normally fried. We recommend making the meal complete by serving your chicken over a bed of white and adding in some veggies of your choice!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup canned chicken broth
- 1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 medium garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
Instructions

Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Lay chicken breasts on bottom.

Combine in a separate bowl, chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, white wine vinegar, ginger, garlic clove and pepper flakes.

Pour over chicken and cook 4-6 hours in slow cooker on low.

When finished, take the chicken out of the slow cooker and cut into chunks. With the juice in the slow cooker, whisk in the cornstarch slowly to thicken the sauce.

Return chicken to slow cooker and heat through.
