Slow Cooker Classic Sloppy Joes
Making sloppy joes in a slow cooker is a great way to have dinner on the table when everyone is hungry. This recipe is easy to throw together and the family will love it. You can substitute ground turkey, chicken or pork for the beef for a unique twist

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper
- 2 tablespoon stoneground mustard
- Hamburger buns
Instructions
- In any size slow cooker, combine the rest of the ingredients (except the hamburger buns).
- In a large skillet brown ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.
- Stir in meat mixture. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
- Spoon onto hamburger buns.
