Homemade Yogurt from Powdered Milk
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups dry milk powder
- 3 1/4 cups water
- 1 tsp unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup commercial yogurt (unflavored)
Instructions
Put milk in 2 quart pan and sprinkle on gelatin. Let soak 5 min or so then stir with wire wisk while heating to almost boiling. Cool to warm. Add 1/4 cup commercial yogurt (unflavored) and whisk in well. Either put in small warm containers or just in a big bowl. Set in warm place over night to set. Taste to see if ready or not then refrigerate. This can also be done with liquid milk and just add 2 TBS to 1 cup powdered milk to make a more solid yogurt.
