Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 8 cups sugar
- 10 eggs
- 10 cups milk
- 1/2 cup vanilla
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 10-12 hoagies (submarine/poboy rolls)
- Cinnamon, optional
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 cup whiskey
Instructions
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Tear bread into bite size pieces and add to mixture. Pour into large baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle cinnamon to taste. Boil water, sugar and butter for 30 minutes. Add whiskey and remove from heat. Pour over warm bread pudding. This is a large recipe, so you may want to reduce it to your needs.
