Country Dessert Dumplings

Served warm or cold with a healthy dollop of whipped cream or ice cream, Country Dessert Dumplings will become a family favorite treat. Ingredients

  • For the Dumplings:
  • 1 pound Ricotta cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter or extra virgin coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoon natural maple syrup
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup deseeded and cut plums
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon natural maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup to one cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. For the Sauce:

  2. Take all sauce ingredients with ½ cup of water, place in large saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes or until it becomes thick sauce.

  3. For the Dumplings:

  4. Mix well all dumpling dough ingredients.

  5. When sauce is thickened, start adding dumplings to hot sauce with ice cream scoop. If sauce is too thick, dilute it with a little bit of water.

  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until puffed and beautiful.

  7. Serve warm or cold with healthy dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
