French Yogurt Cake Recipe

"I grew up eating this cake and I always loved it as a kid. My mum's yogurt cake is an authentic French cake recipe from the north of the country. The yogurt lightens up this cake in texture and flavor. Whenever my mum was short on time, she would prepare this cake for us. It's kind of like a dump cake, quick and easy to prepare. The yogurt cake makes a great coffee time cake when you expect last minute guests to pop in. I love my cake as it is or with a homemade vanilla sauce, whipped cream or a scoop or ice cream."
