Fresh Pear Crumble
Fresh Pear Crumble is a great dessert for summer or any time of the year! It is simple and a deliciously light ending to your meal. Serve hot with ice cream or top with whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 3 sliced firm pears
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Grated rind of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Whipped cream or heavy cream
Instructions
- Combine first 4 ingredients (pear, lemon juice, lemon rind and sugar) in preheated electric skillet or baking pan of table oven.
- Mix the next 5 ingredients and sprinkle over top of pears.
- Cook at moderate temperature, about 350 degrees F, for about 40 minutes. Serve with cream.
