    Fruit Crisp

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup uncooked rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter or margarine
    • 4 cups sliced tart apples, apricots, peaches or rhubarb

    Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine rolled oats, flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add melted butter to oatmeal mixture and mix with a fork or pastry blender until well blended. Butter bottom and sides of a 8x8x2 glass baking dish. Arrange fresh fruit in the bottom of the dish and spread oatmeal mixture on top of fruit. Bake until fruit is tender and crust is brown, about 30 minutes. May be served with milk, cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
