Grated Fresh pear Snow
Ingredients
- 3 medium pears
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 2 egg whites
- Grated unsweetened chocolate (optional)
Instructions
Grate pears (3 cups) and combine with lemon juice, salt, and 2 tablespoons of the sugar. Beat egg whites until they stand in soft peaks. Gradually beat in remaining sugar. Fold into pear mixture. Serve in sherbet glasses. If desired, sprinkle a little grated unsweetened chocolate over each serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
