    Hillbilly Peanut Butter Balls

    As easy as no bake dessert recipes come, these Hillbilly Peanut Butter Balls are a perfect quick fix if you need a treat to bring to a holiday party and you don't have a lot of time. All you need to make these delightful no-bake peanut butter balls is some peanut butter, powdered sugar, chocolate chips and a few other key ingredients. Plop these round desserts in the freezer to harden and before you know it you'll have one of the most delicious and irresistible party treats known to man.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound powdered sugar
    • 1 cup butter or margarine
    • 2 cups peanut butter
    • 12 ounces chocolate chips
    • 1/2 block paraffin wax

    Instructions

    1. Mix the first 3 ingredients and shape into balls. Chill or freeze until firm.
       
    2. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin wax in the top of a double boiler.
       
    3. Dip balls (using a toothpick) into hot chocolate mixture. Place on waxed paper until cool.

    I love these peanut butter balls! I make them every year at Christmas, only I don't use paraffin wax at all. I just add 2 TBSP of coconut oil to the chocolate to help it setup a bit and make the chocolate nice and shiny! And coconut oil is GOOD for you!

    Why would you want to eat paraffin??? Isn't that wax??
