Plum Flan (clafouti)
Ingredients
- 3 cup firm ripe plums, pitted and cut into 1" pieces
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur
- juice drained from plums plus milk to equal 1 1/4 cups
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
Mix fruit ingredients and let stand for 30 minutes. Place the ingredients for batter in blender or food processor and blend for one minute. Grease a 11/2 -inch deep, two-quart baking dish. Place plums in bottom of the dish and pour batter over the top. Bake in a 350\xb0 oven for about one hour. When done the top should be puffed and brown. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar just before serving. It will sink down slightly as it cools.
