Sweet Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup melted margarine
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 (4.5 ounce) container Cool Whip whipped topping
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 large (6-ounce) package strawberry jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 10 ounces box frozen strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Combine pretzels, margarine and sugar for first layer. Put first layer in 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Remove to cool.
- For the second layer beat sugar into cheese, fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzels.
- Third layer is made by mixing Jello with boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Stir in the frozen strawberries.
- Mix together and set aside 10 minutes. Pour over cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm. Cut the salad into squares and serve.
