Zabaglione Italian Custard
This simple Italian dessert is extremely easy to make and can be served in a variety of ways. Zabaglione is a type of old fashioned Italian custard, made from egg yolks, sugar, and Marsala wine. It can be served warm, cold, as a sauce, or even frozen. The original recipe, which dates back to the sixteenth century, was a drink made with wine or ale. Have fun experimenting with this easy recipe. Try serving it with biscotti cookies, with berries, or even with whipped cream.
