Agua Fresca
"A couple of weeks ago we were having some nice hot summer weather and I was looking for a cold drink that would be fast and easy to make. I found this recipe for Agua Fresca in the book Hello! 365 Melon Recipes: Best Melon Cookbook Ever For Beginners when I was looking for ideas to make with the cantaloupe I had on hand. This drink is so super simple to make, with just four ingredients, well okay five ingredients since we decided to add a little Malibu Rum. Honestly, this was so good without the rum but it did add a nice touch since we were floating in the pool on sunny Saturday afternoon. You can make this drink recipe with just about any fruit but cantaloupe is the only one I’ve tried so far since we like it so much. It’s just so refreshing, I’m not sure it’s a healthy as I like to think it is since there’s added sugar but it’s still better than drinking a can of pop. Next time the temperature rises, skip the store-bought beverages and treat yourself to a homemade Agua Fresca—a drink that’s as refreshing as it is delicious. Cheers to thoroughly enjoying the rest of summer!"
