Amaretto Slush
For a delicious spin on a slushie, try this version with Amaretto. Not for the kiddies, but it sure is yummy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 3 tea bags (orange pekoe works well)
- 3 1/2 cups cold water
- 1 1/2 cup Amaretto
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 6-oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
- 1 6-oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed and undiluted
- 2 33.8-oz. bottles ginger ale, chilled
Instructions
1. Pour boiling water over tea bags; cover and let stand 5 minutes.
2. Remove tea bags and discard.
3. Transfer tea to a 2-quart freezer container.
4. Stir in the cold water, amaretto, sugar, orange juice concentrate, and lemonade concentrate.
5. Cover and freeze until firm.
6. To serve, partially thaw until slushy.
7. Pour equal amounts of slush mixture and ginger ale into serving glasses.
Makes one gallon.
