Ingredients
- First, you need family size tea bags. Then take your average sized
- coffee kettle (like the kind that whistles) and fill it 2/3 full.
- Bring to a boil. Pour the boiling water into a gallon pitcher (or
- half gallon/ 2 quart). Drop in two tea bags for a gallon and one
- for a half gallon. Put the lid on the pitcher and let it sit for
- half an hour. Remove the tea bags (being careful not to tear the
- bags). Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of sugar for a gallon, or 3/4 to 1 cup
- of sugar for 1/2 gallon, and stir! It has been my experience that
- generic brand tea bags leak tea leaves more readily that Lipton.
- I like Lipton best, but it is significantly more expensive. If you
- like your tea stronger, let the tea bags sit longer, and less time
- if you like it weaker.
