"Umeshu or Japanese plum wine is a drink that is incredibly easy to make and requires just three ingredients, which are fresh green plums, rock sugar and sochu (a flavorless vodka is fine too). You just have to be able to layer plums and sugar in a jar and pour alcohol over them! Since it takes six months to be ready, my advice to anyone who wanting to make umeshu is: Grab a kilo or two of green plums next time you see them! It is worth the wait but the sooner you start the better"
