Eggs Continental

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 4 hard cooked eggs, sliced
  • 3 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees, toss bread crumbs in butter, divide among 4 buttered 10 ounce baking dishes, layer egg slices over crumbs. Fry bacon until crisp, drain. Stir together bacon, sour cream, milk, onion, and seasonings: spoon over eggs. Top with cheese. Bake uncovered 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Ok, I'm really struggling to imagine what this recipe is supposed to look like and all that's coming to mind is sliced deviled eggs with a cheesy bacon mayo baked on top of it...I really wish a picture would have been shown because the image in my head isn't giving me a good enough reason to try this. I'm gonna have to do some google searches for an image before I try this so I know what it's supposed to look like, but it does sound kinda interesting.
