"For many of us Americans on this side of the line, much of the Latin fare past Mexico escapes us. Depending on where you live you may not a lot of the fare that is indigenous to many other countries in relation to hispanic foods. Places like Brazil, El Salvador, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Argentina present us some familiar names that we're all hip to. Dishes like empanadas (Argentina), ceviche (Peru), and dulce de leche (choose your pick) are just the tip of the mountain when it comes to plates that these countries have to offer. One popular South American street dish are antichuchos that are made up of hearty beef or steak and seasoned with garlic, cumin, and chile pepper, among other ingredients. Like most dishes from the country, this is one that brings the heat in regards to grilled perfection. Coupled with distinct flavors native to most South American foods, this is both aromatic to the smell and delicious to the taste."
