"I am sharing a decades old recipe for creamed tuna on toast. This probably originated in the depression era. However, it is still just an easy, delicious, and quick meal for any day. This recipe came from the great depression era where times were tough and folks didn’t have a lot of money. Stretching those dollars as far as possible to feed your family was a necessity.Just because the recipe is inexpensive doesn’t mean that it lacks taste. In fact, many folks still enjoy this meal and consider it a comfort food. Including me. I grew up on this meal.This creamed tuna can be served over mashed potatoes, biscuits, buns, bread, cooked rice, or cooked pasta. Served as a Dip? You might even be able to serve it as a dip for chips or crackers. I think it is really that good! Bet your guests will ask you for the recipe is you served it as an appetizer!"
