Simple Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
Instructions
Pour the cream into a mixing bowl, add scraped vanilla bean or vanilla extract. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the half-and-half and whisk to blend. Freeze according to your ice cream freezers directions. Makes approx 1 1/2 quarts
