BBQ Baked Beans

Ingredients
- 4 cans pinto beans, including the liquid
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Stir spices together until well combined.
- Place 2 heaping tablespoons of the spice mixture in a cast iron pot with the beans. You can use a casserole dish, but it will get black from the smoke.
- Place it uncovered way in the back of your pit and let smoke for a couple of hours.
- Take the pot off the pit and stir well, tasting them to make sure they have enough smokey flavor. Allow to smoke longer for a stronger flavor.
- Place a lid on the pot and keep warm in a oven or sit the pot on the cover of your pit to keep warm until ready to serve.
