Barbecued Ribs

Ingredients
- 1 2/5 kg pork spare ribs
- 6 tablespoon hoi sin sauce
- 50 gram soft brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sherry
- 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon five spice powder
Instructions
Yield: 4-6 servings. Mix all the marinade ingredients thoroughly and reserve about 3 tablespoons. Caoat the ribs generously with the remaining marinade, then cover and leave for at least 5 hours, preferably overnight. Prepare barbecue. Cook over coals (medium heat) and turn occasionally for about 30 minutes. Serve with the reserved marinade. Alternatively these can be oven baked for 35 minutes at 190 C / 375 F / Gas 5.
