Italian Meatballs

All you need for this simple meatball recipe is bread, milk, beef, parsley, nutmeg, and egg, and in 25 minutes you'll have delicious tasting home-style meatballs everyone will enjoy. Add egg noodles to make it an Italian favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice white bread, fresh
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup minced Italian flat or regular parsley
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Soak bread in milk; squeeze out milk.
     
  2. Add bread to beef, pepper, nutmeg, parsley and egg then shape into meatballs.
     
  3. Saute or broil until brown all around; drain.
     
  4. Add your favourite tomato sauce and finish cooking, about 20 - 25 minutes in simmering sauce.
