Sausage Dressing

Use your favorite sausage to flavor a hearty potato and corn bread dressing. This dressing bakes in a casserole and can be served as a filling side-dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 large potato, grated
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3/4 loaf bread, trim crusts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, or more
  • 6 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 package corn bread mix, baked
  • 1 pound sausage, bulk
  • 2 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 can chicken or turkey broth

Instructions

  1. Crumble breads up, add enough milk to moisten.
     
  2. Add remaining ingredients and saute until onion and celery are tender.
     
  3. Place in big casserole. Bake at 350 F. for 1 to 2 hrs.
