French Leeks (800 Watts)
Ingredients
- 500 grams leeks, sliced
- 2 Tbs water
- 25 grams butter
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1 tsp French mustard
- 150 milliliters chicken stock
- 150 milliliters white wine
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
Put leeks in a casserole dish with water. Cover and cook on HIGH 7 to 8 minutes. Set aside. Put butter in a large microwave jug and cook on HIGH for 30 - 40 seconds to melt. Stir in the flour, mustard, stock and wine. Add garlic, salt and pepper. Cook on HIGH for 3 - 4 minutes, stirring once. Remove from oven and beat well until thick. Pour the sauce over drained leeks and heat through on HIGH 1 - 2 minutes.
