Meat Loaf
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup milk
- 1 t chopped Fresh or 1/4 t dried sage leaves or thyme
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t dry mustard
- 1/4 t pepper
- 3 slices bread torn or 1/2 cup bread crumbs or 1/4 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup ketchup, chili sauce or Barbecue sauce
Instructions
Yield: 6 servings. Heat oven to 350 F. Mix all ingredients except ketchup. Spread mixture in loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 or 9 x 5 x 3 inches, or shape loaf in rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Spoon ketchup over top. Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until done. Remove from pan. 6 servings; 375 calories per serving. To Microwave: Prepare as directed - except shape into 6 small loaves. Place in rectangular microwavable dish, 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches. Cover with waxed paper and microwave on high 14 to 17 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 7 minutes. Let stand on flat, heatproof surface (not wire rack) 5 minutes.
