Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

Sift dry ingredients together. Beat egg yolks and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients alternating with melted butter cooled to room temperature. Stir until batter is smooth and free from lumps. In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, and fold into batter. Bake.
