Buttermilk Pie
Ingredients
- (9-inch) pie crust
- 1 3/4 cup sugar (see note)
- 4 Tbsp flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Mix sugar and flour. Add eggs, butter, buttermilk and vanilla. Beat until combined. Pour into crust. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until a butter knife inserted in center comes out clean. note: I use less sugar, about 1 1/4 cups instead. If you make it with all the sugar it seems too sweet for me. I think it's an individual taste thing.
