Ingredients
- 2 quart blackberries
- 8 ounce sugar
- 2 ounce tapioca
- 10 ounce water
- 2 ounce unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- topping of your choice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all ingredients, tossing the berries gently until well coated with the other ingredients.
- Transfer to a lightly buttered half-size hotel pan (8" x 9" x 7/8") then set aside for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- The cobbler can be topped with flaky pie dough, biscuit dough or streusel topping before baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees F until the berry mixture bubbles and the crust is appropriately browned, approximately 40-50 minutes.
