Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar (separated into 2 half cups)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cans (15-ounce) of peaches
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cream together eggs, butter, sugar, baking powder, salt, flour, and milk.
- Pour into 9x11 slightly greased & floured baking dish.
- Pour peaches, 1 can at a time, over the cake batter (juice and all). Note: You might not need all of both cans, use as desired.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and bake for 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into cake part comes out clean (45 to 55 mins).

In step 2 of the instructions it calls for 1/2 cup of sugar in the dough mixture. Then, in step 5 it says to sprinkle 1/2 cup of sugar over the cobbler and bake. Is this correct? In the ingredients it only calls for 1/2 sugar.

Yeah! Peaches are not even mentioned in the ingredients much less how big of can, and since you are adding the juice as well this is KIND OF IMPORTANT! I've read quite a few reviews of other recipes and have noticed and agree that your proofreaders are not doing a very good job. Missing ingredients such as the peaches in this one occur frequently. Come on, people! You can't stay in business if you do not offer a quality product.

Hello everyone, This was a reader submitted recipe and the peaches were accidentally left out. Yes very important! We've updated the recipe to indicate how man cans and size of peaches. Thanks for letting us know, and sorry for the confusion!
