    Frosted Apple raisin Pie

    Ingredients

    • Pastry for 2-crust pie
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 2 tbsp. flour
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 6 cups sliced, peeled tart apples
    • 1/2 cup seedless raisins
    • 2 tbsp. orange juice
    • 4 tbsp. butter or margarine
    • Orange Frosting (recipe follows)

    Instructions

    Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon; mix with apples and raisins; place in pastry-lined 9" pie pan. Sprinkle with orange juice; dot with butter. Adjust top crust and flute edges; cut vents. Bake in hot oven (400F degrees) about 40 minutes, or until crust is browned and apples are tender. Spread Orange Frosting over hot pie. ORANGE FROSTING Mix together 1 cup confectioners sugar, 3 tbsp. strained fresh orange juice and 1 tsp. graded orange peel.
